Abstract: For the first time, the flux-weighted average yield of the (γ, p)-reaction on 68Zn was measured at a bremsstrahlung end-point energy of 19 MeV. The obtained value is 624(56) μb. The obtained yield was calculated within the framework of the TALYS-1.96 code. A significant contribution of the non-statistical mechanism for the 68Zn(γ, p)67Cu reaction is noted at a bremsstrahlung end-point energy of 19 MeV. High economic efficiency of 67Cu production is shown on zinc enriched with the 68Zn isotope at electron energy values in the region of 20 MeV.

Keywords: 67Cu, photoactivation method, flux-weighted average yield, TALYS-1.96.
