Abstract: The aim of the research was to find the approach to optimize the exposure dose delivered to the patient during the annual fluorography chest organs examination, considering the needs to perform a large amount of procedures for population. The comparative analysis of gadolinium, improved gadolinium and cesium iodide was performed. The improved gadolinium screens combined with the next software X-ray test-object image processing are proposed for such X-ray diagnostic procedures.

Keywords: fluorography, x-ray detector, exposure dose.
