Modelling of trajectory for ions extraction from U-240 cyclotron by charge-stripings method

Abstract: The computer program for a trajectory calculation of ions, which are extracted from U-240 isochronous cyclotron after charge striping on an internal target is developed. The trajectory calculation of extracted ions enables to choose an optimum position of a target in the internal volume of U-240 isochronous cyclotron. This gives us the possibility to minimize the ion losses during the extraction process.
