Optimization of sampling for assessment of contamination density by local territory radionuclides

Abstract: The problems of optimal planning amount of the soil sampling for assessment of the local trends of contamination, as well as the problems of reliable detection of the spots at the trend background are considered. The methods are proposed for calculation of a minimal needed number of the soil samples for the estimation of monotonous trend of the terrestrial density of contamination at the fixed value of relative uncertainty and for detection of the spots at the trend background.
