1Chernobyl International Scientific and Technical Center of Studies, Chernobyl, UkraineAbstract: During the field experiments it was established, that the shells of dead bivalves can additionally accumulate 137Cs and 90Sr from water. It was also established that 90Sr is basically accumulated. Radionuclides' accumulation intensity by shells is related to specific shells surface area. It is expected, that this phenomenon is related to the adsorption processes of given radionuclides on the shells nacreous layer interior surface.
